CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUNGLIVES DADS CAMPING
YoungLives camping provides teen parents with the opportunity to have fun and act like teenagers
again while hearing the gospel in a new way. Additionally, they enjoy time with their mentors and peers
as they experience camp. The relationships built at Young Life summer and weekend camps play a
major role in creating momentum once campers return home.
Currently, the options for YoungLives Dads ministries to bring kids to camp include 1) regionally led fall
and winter weekend camps, 2) area-led day camps or overnight retreats, and 3) traditional Young Life
outreach summer camp weeks.
YoungLives Dads camping is a priority in the next phase of national development. With the official
launch of YoungLives Dads, the focus has been on building up the infrastructure for strong local area
outreach with young fathers.
