Crafts
Crafts can be used as an icebreaker when participants first arrive, as a transition between
dropping off their children and starting club, or at the end of club as a time for mentors and
participants to discuss the club message.
Meals
YoungLives serves meals to participants and their children to help meet basic needs and
encourage a sense of community at club. Different models for providing meals include rotations
of church groups delivering home-cooked meals, dedicated volunteers preparing food, or
donations from local restaurants.
Transportation
Considering that many YoungLives Dads may lack reliable transportation, club organizers often
arrange for mentors and committee members to transport participants and their children to and
from the club. Some areas subsidize public transportation fees as well. Adults providing transport
are required to complete the Young Life Driver Questionnaire.
