VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Childcare Team
Recruiting a reliable childcare coordinator and assembling a core childcare team are essential to
providing the highest quality of care. Give the childcare portion of your ministry priority attention and
ensure that you have taken all the necessary precautions to safeguard the ministry — including
background checks and appropriate orientation and training for childcare volunteers. Competent and
reliable adults who love children should be the base of your childcare team. Having a consistent core
team will build trust with the children and their parents. Your core childcare team can be supplemented
with Campaigners kids and other occasional volunteers.
For children over the age of two, consider incorporating elements of Sunday school or Vacation Bible
School (VBS) curricula. This approach not only enriches the childcare experience but also presents a
valuable opportunity to impact two generations simultaneously. Teaching the children about Jesus’ love
during their time in your care can have a profound and lasting effect on both the children and their
parents, reinforcing the ministry’s mission to nurture and support young adolescents in their faith
journey.
